Backstretch Programs

Social Services

Monday - Friday, 10 AM - 4 PM we welcome everyone from the backstretch community and their families to drop-in or make an appointment to see a staff member for assistance at Belmont.  A similar service is held in Saratoga beginning with the opening of the track for the meet. The assistance is varied and includes the following:

  • Immigration Services: We assist with navigating the U.S. immigration process to ensure community members have the necessary support to maintain their legal status.

  • Assistance and Translation Services: Offering guidance and translation for navigating services from agencies such as the Department of Social Services, US Citizenship & Immigration Services, Social Security Administration, Internal Revenue Service, banks, and the civil justice system.

  • Clerical Support: Daily clerical assistance available, including sending and receiving faxes and emails, internet and phone access, and photocopying services.

  • Emergency Transportation: We provide transportation services during medical or legal emergencies to ensure timely support.

Recreational Activities

  • Adult Sports Leagues: Offering soccer, basketball, and softball games on the Backstretch, providing a fun and competitive way to stay active and connect with peers.
